Good debt is debt which puts money in one’s pocket. This is usually achieved through financing something which brings a higher return than the interest rate: e.g. financing an apartment where the rental income is higher than the interest rate one pays on the loan. Student loans are usually also considered good debt, if the additional education generates a higher income increase than the repayment conditions.
The opposite type of debt is bad debt.
