If you found your way to our website through an internet search engine, you may be wondering what RINO INVEST is all about and who Cassian Nunez is. We’re not what most people think of when they hear the words Wealth Management organization. And that’s what sets us apart from the crowd.

Let me start by telling you a bit about me. I was raised in San Bernardino County, California. I went to good public schools where I found out that there’s a lot to learn from both winning and losing. For example, in high school, I ran for Senior Class President. I lost the election but ended up working successfully in the Associated Student Body alongside the person who beat me. I was a four-year member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), president of the Model United Nations (MUN), a founding member of the Young Republicans of America, and became the founder and president of the Future Investors of America. In my senior year, my classmates voted me “Most Likely to Become President.”

You could say I was a bit of an over-achiever.

After graduating from high school, I wanted to challenge myself in another way, so I decided to travel cross-country to attend Armstrong State University (now Georgia Southern University/Armstrong Campus) in Savannah, GA. And since old habits die hard, I got involved in a few organizations as an undergraduate. I was part of the Student Government Association all four years, working my way up from SGA Senator to Treasurer, then President. I was the Economic Empowerment Chair of the Armstrong Chapter of the Collegiate 100 and served on the Student Honor Court for my sophomore and junior years. I enlisted in the Georgia Army National Guard at 18 and was a Reserve Officer Training Corp (ROTC) cadet for four years.

I became interested in financial education while working as a Peer Financial Counselor in the Office of Financial Aid. That role gave me the chance to host several events to educate other students on topics like financial aid, loans, establishing credit, buying cars, and other real-life financial topics.

I graduated with a BA in Law and Society and was later commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army Reserve. I went on to earn a Certificate in Advanced Business Analytics from the University of South Carolina then graduated with an MBA from Mercer University in 2019.

I have served in the US Army for nine years and have been lucky enough to be stationed in some interesting places from Kuwait to Kosovo and Germany to Atlanta. I put my financial expertise to work as the Comptroller for the 1st Battalion 10th Special Forces Group (Green Berets) in Stuttgart, Germany. As a Division Program Budget Analyst, I oversaw an annual program budget of $40 million per year.

I started RINO INVEST to share knowledge and to show that financial independence is possible for anyone willing to set financial goals and take the necessary steps to make them happen. It doesn’t matter where you’re starting from today. What matters is where you want to be – and RINO INVEST has the knowledge and expertise to help you get there!
